We had some exciting news last week with Delta Air lines announcement that its miles will expire would not and before that, Southwest Airlines' loyalty program changes.
The theme was also of a recently published article reminding us Airways program as an elite could buy your way into US all brought to my attention.
Does this change anything? Are your loyalty to an airline rather unlike the shopping around PerFür the best rates and book your flight, based on price and schedule type?
Full disclosure: I'm not neutral on the subject of customer loyalty programs – I think you do more harm than good. But I wonder if the recent changes have changed the dynamics and whether more frequent travelers will participate in a program.

And another question: what changes would need to look into a program behind these participate? Additional benefits? Charging less? Or should all passengers now have access to some of the benefits his Witheld and offered only to elites?
