Feb 16 del Rio Pecos River Bridge Langtry Sanderson
Since I went to bed, when it got dark woke up early to get up, to 0400 got up loaded to 0500 just and and West began. It was kind of an error as I had thought me going back in del Rio and the Super Walmart/McDonalds and some butter and Mcmuffin buy a sausage egg. Really don't like backtracking, but as butter in Sanderson was $3.65 for a pound of soft Parkay, which I don't normally get, but it was the best, you had. A pound of butter was over $7.00. In any case I West at the top, but it was dark and so I drove to Langtry and everything was closed, so I ended up backtracking of the Pecos River Bridge anyway wait for daylight.
The Pecos River Bridge had a very nice overlook and picnic area and then you can go to the boat ramp on the water to see it from there. You can see the intersection of the Pecos River and Rio Grande River from the lower overlook.
Find out the travel Center and Judge Roy bean museum open now would I drove back West in Langtry, to visit. The most rest stops in Texas have caught first that public wireless and I on e-Mail etc. and then went to the Museum.
The courthouse/saloon is the building and no Reconstuction. I think the dry climate helps. It was actually pretty interesting. Anyone in the Langtry wanted Commons is parking type RV Park with full ports for $15 a night and dry camping available at the Community Centre car park free of charge or a suggested donation of $2.00. I asked the woman at the information center, where I was able to eat something and you told me that I could get a hamburger on the loop 25/Hwy 90 a junction on the Western side of town in a business, but if I wanted restaurant type meal, which was the closest place in Sanderson 80 miles west. Just as my next goal was Big Bend National Park I travelled west to the Sanderson anyway.
